Today we shared a coffee and a meal with a neighbour. We first saw him sleeping on a concrete bench outside of a Walmart. It was -15 C with the windchill and 18 km winds.
Had it not been the generosity of family this very year, this could’ve been an address for my own family. A split second and our lives can change, an unfortunate accident, an unexpected change in our health and our financial situation can change. We no longer have the means to meet our financial obligations. We watch as rents or mortgages start to get away from us, bill payments are missed and demanding phone calls haunt us.

Today and tomorrow, will bring on changes for all of us, not one of us will be missed by the effects COVID-19 is having on the world. Anxiety, stress, depression or PTSD may be effecting our mental health, COVID-19 Virus may be effecting our physical health, but they all have an impact that will challenge our way of life.
As we watch our savings deplete and our concerns for the well-being of our families and those close to us, it is natural for us to become hyper focused on their well-being.
We watched as several people, community people all I have no doubt, passed by a man sleeping on a concrete bench outside of a Walmart.
Today we still have it better then many, Today we can do more then walk by. Today we shared a coffee and a meal with a neighbour.
